Taken a while for tracks to realize all drones aren't bad. But you have to limit who can do it. Has helped the series I follow cover a lot more area without having nearly as many static cameras.

I believe drones are typically frowned upon but as it's a rental, might be able to get away with it. I'm guessing the reason they probably aren't allowed is as a precaution in the event the drop out of the sky and onto the track.

This makes sense, was just deciding on bringing it or not. I have a small one (DJI Mini 2), so if we are unsure, I will probably leave it at home.

Some drone footage would definitely compliment the event cover we plan on doing.
