Mook Mook willsmysticcobra willsmysticcobra got any old supra fartpipe mufflers sitting around or should i just do a 5 inch chrome turndown from a semi stack on the end of the straightpipe?

Got the forward midpipe done

I'm working on the over axle hump to mid-pipe junction. I did finally cave and by the snap-on mandrel expander for three inch so i can make slip fits in 2 spots

Well I'm finally up to the muffler Inlet.

I positioned it so I can use the approximately 8 inch dia mad tight jdm yo mufflers.... but that the oval body Edelbrock Muffler will also fit if I tilt it at an angle.

Spent some time looking at Mark II Supras ass ends and their Muffler and tip setups today....

I'm kind of thinking I'm going to use this 5 inch diameter chrome pipe I have under my shelf for my exhaust tip.... we'll have to see if I leave it straight cut or I cut it at an angle.

I found a Grainger catalog so I can finally get around to tucking my fender lips in the back end to clear my tires.

Why do I always go overboard and make custom s*** just to use Factory Toyota shit?!?
The mild steel piece is my mockup / sizing fixture for the final hanger

Can't wait to hear what it sounds like once I can actually hang the muffler on it

After looking at it a bunch I think I might end up unbolting all the factory hanger brackets and cutting one of the hanger ears off since I will only be using one rubber hanger at each point the factory seems to have went overboard.

Besides I could use the weight savings

Kind of undecided with having an exit at that angle towards the driver side.

Decided to go quick and easy so I polished a 3" turn down and welded it after doing a quick brush finish on the main pipe. I think it looks alright till you bend down and look up her skirt..... but at least it's functional

I should have the rearmost hanger and most of the forward hangers done soon. Enough of them that I'm willing to drive it.

ok so the new hangers are done, i dont like how it can still sway side to side so i think im going to make my own body side mount at the rear that would let meget the block style rubber muffler bearings on it instead of these flimsy cockring style.

for now some zipties are minimizing the sway. im happy enough i wanna hear it from inside.

also managed to find a dorman trans pigtail (their computer lists it as an AC connector?) for the 89 2.8l v6 F body 700r4

so now i will hopefully have tcc lockup for the drive out to the 3800 gathering in flint. with 4.10 rear gears i needs it

stripped all the steel brackets and shields/bumper clamps and painted them so i can finally install the front bumper....which entails removing everything from the front of the car.

yay

If you have an OD in that puppy I bet she'll be fine. Just sayin. I thought an IAC Connector was the same as the trans one except the keying which is easy enough to correct with an exacto knife.

So suffice it to say that these damn rubber 5 mph bumpers definitely shrink over time.

It's taking me two days with a torch and a heat gun to soften things and stretch them back right now it's lightly tightened to let it cool back into place.

I can just start the lower bolts and the bumper to unibody bolts along the side are really tight but it'll fit.

This is the second to last of the factory pieces that I can put back on the other being the sheet metal chin strap which is kind of in the way of the air filter so I don't think I'm going to put it on besides you can't really see it that well and it would hide this awesome radiator and air dam.
Remember I made my own aluminum lower radiator support air dam assembly that gave me almost 3 extra inches of vertical height to fit the Mustang radiator and cap.

I need to get me a chrome Regal bumper and just cut and section it.... actually I need a front and rear bumper to get rid of both of these rubber pieces of s***.

Okay so I spent some time digging around trying to see what I can do since I definitely have to remove my new core support and air filter and Center latch support, to be able to fit this thing in one piece.

So that means my car will be getting pork chop sideburns!

From the looks of it I should be able to section it and form it over to kind of give it a split lower Valance it should really clean it up and hide some of the ugly but will leave the center area completely open.

Thoughts/compliments/criticisms/insults ?
