How are the results with using a recommended muffler? I would like a little noise out of the GTP (although I am a little worried of the 3800 rasp and crackle). Im not looking for a performance increase, just simply sound. Im going to do some searching but in the mean time what mufflers do you suggest, or what would be a better idea?

Cherry bomb pro's (not a glasspack btw) sounds better than the flowmaster 40's and doesnt have the rasp that the 40's do.

Actally stock with no resonator sounds pretty good. Otherwise Borla's with no resonator sounds good...better with a resonator of some sort (mandatory if no cat).

Magnaflow's and Flowmaster's are a 3800's worse nightmare, UGH

I have magnaflows and if i had the money i would be running something else besides the stock exhaust with magnaflows, they sound like garbage. They're too quiet when it's idling, and they're too loud when i'm accelerating.

I have flowmasters with no resonator, I think it gives it an alright sound.

My magnaflows were perfect with the manifolds and stock cat. no drone and not raspy. with headers and a few years on them they are loud as shit now but i can still cruise silently at 70 mph.

I'll trade you my full catback for your stock exhaust.

It's just called maxflow. For a stock exhaust, you want 2.25 offset in, 2.25 center out.
