I was going to do something similar at the tcg summer bash if I could've made it. It's a family tradition.
It's called bacon bread.
You start with a pork jowl, you slice it criss cross and heat it over the fire. You have rye bread with raw onions resting on the bread. Everytime the pork jowl starts to put off grease you roll the jowl over the raw onions/rye bread. After about 10 mins the bread and onions are fully cooked and the take scissors and cut off tiny pork niblets(bacon) and salt the bread with the onions and bacon nuggets and eat. Old Hungarian thing I guess
