I don't see the 1/2" difference in the first couple pics, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why my front bumper has a larger gap under the passenger side headlamp yesterday. Granted my car is basically new still, I came to the conclusion it is just shotty American car quality.
