Yeah it was in Bensenville, guessing they annexed more land for Ohare expansion? Tony (Nicky Santoro in movie Casino) and his brother were beaten in that basement then driven to a cornfield. In the movie the ending was portrayed differently.
I was today years old when I learned that Casino was based on real people lol

Yes on Bryn Mawr just west of rt 83. Industrial redevelopment. Those houses sold for stupid money last summer. I think that house went for $890k. The company I work for was going to move in to one of the new buildings going up but the available date was too far out for us.
it was loosely based on the Chicago outfit, they had the Teamsters in their pocket to skim Vegas casinos for years.
If anyone is ever in old Vegas, the mob museum is a neat place to check out.

If you want to really know the story of Casino in real life , read the book āCasinoā by Nicholas Pileggi. Another good book on the subject is āFamily Secretsā by Jeff Coen.
Fun fact, I went to all of the real life hangouts in Vegas including Frank Rosenthalās home that has the wrong address in the book. Luckily the manager of the Tony Romaās restaurant that was where Frankās car blew up was from Crystal Lake and she gave us exact directions on where to go. She thought it was super cool that Paul and the decided to do that during one of our trips to Vegas. It was different and fun!!

I did some serious data mining one day. One of the things that I read was that it was Louis Eboli's house (Louie The Mooch). He had just bought a house in Oak Brook and the one in Bensenville was vacant. A little more data mining lead me to that address.
