My wife has been bugging me to get some nice family pictures taken. I usually hate the process and get irritated quickly. But it was less than an hour, we had fun, and got some great photos a couple weeks ago:

damn, i took my boy's first day of Kindergarten hard last week! was so excited to pick him up at the end of the day, went to steak and shake for milkshakes! it was so hard to walk away from him at the school. he's very independent and very well be have so i knew he'd be fine, and im not even with him all day as he goes to daycare, but it was still hard for me just knowing he was now in kindergarten. He did great and he loves it!

Makes me sad. Our daughter just turned 17 yesterday and starts her senior year. It’s sad to think that in the next year two or three she may move out for school.

Me, our French exchange student from the last two years, wife and daughter. I see more gray hair on my head.

Is she good enough at golf to get a scholarship? I keep telling my buddy to get his daughter started now to see if she likes it to try to get her in somewhere on a golf scholarship...

She’s right on the cusps. She will shoot in the 70’s one match and then shoot in the 90’s the next match. She’s only been playing for 3 years now. Shes has a personal coach, summer tournaments through IJGA plus West Aurora high school has a really decent golf program. Consistency is her evil doing right now. She has no problem driving the ball 250+ and a really good short game.

A few college coaches have made offers while others have said they are interested but improve on her consistency.

I wish we had gotten our daughter into golf sooner. Turned out she loves playing. But better late than never.

Tons of unused scholarship money for female golfers. Urge your friend to see if his daughter enjoys playing golf.

There are junior and youth programs.
