I just caught this trailer and had no clue this was in the works. I am highly amused. I hope it can live up to Galaxy Quest for spoofing Star Trek.

Great flick. Well written, acted and funny. Doesn't try to be pretentious. Just an entertaining way to spend an hour and a half.

Plus it has Alan Rickman in it. He's awesome as the depressed out of work, Shakespearian actor.


Actually, the whole cast plays their parodied selves awesome.

The Orville would do well to take queues from his movie.

I was looking forward to a Parody, but it just felt like the show had no path, it didn't know what it should be. And because of that lack of direction, its going to suffer.

I was turned off from the million commercials for this crap I've been seeing for the past 2 months. It really does look horrible too though.

It wasn't horrible, but you wouldn't be blown away by it either. The first episode was very much an intro episode, introducing all the characters and setting up the basic storyline. To anyone that thinks this is going to be a star trek parody, I'd say its more of a star trek homage. You do have your typical seth macfarlane style humor, but this episode was rather tame in the joke department. There were some funny moments tho. The "holodeck" scene for instance

Definitely not gonna write this off after the first episode, so i'll continue watching unless it actually does get really bad.

Cut this down to a half hour and it will be more watchable, even enjoyable. Really lazy acting and writing for much of it. Surprised to see Jon Favreau directed considering how meh it was.

Well goddamnit. Went to watch the 2nd episode of this off my dvr and found pretty much the entire recording was the 4th quarter of the broncos game.

Watching on the fox now app on xbox. Oddly, it says theres 3 episodes. The premier from the 10th, the 2nd episode from this last sunday on the 17th, and then it says the 3rd episode aired on the 21st, which was yesterday.... Whatevs, ill get all caught up.

So, yup. There is 3 episodes. Apparently the first 2 episodes were on sundays, but then the show switched to thursdays, where it will be for the rest of the season. Thanks Fox!!
