Let's see if this catches on. I see a lot of range visits and talk about the range get lost in the gun thread, let's get one going to get impromptu range visits and gloating about your range visit.

On that note, I really need some pew pew time in..I haven't been in a while. Might go this weekend if anyone is interested. Saturday better than Sunday.

I too need to get some range time. My weekend have been too jam packed with other things going on. I'd like to put some rounds through my P238. Since I bought it almost a year ago, it only has 2 magazines through it.

I'm dying to go to the range but work and other events have me busy. This weekend my wife has her annual family picnic, and Sunday is her bday. Plus I gotta work a few hours in the morning.

For those that don't know, I've got a membership at a private range and can escort 4 people max into the range during time slots I schedule. Cost is $25 each and you do not just shoot from a booth. Only downside is that non-members cannot use holsters.

Heard a rumor that someone is opening an outdoor place similar to McMiller in IL. Around the McHenry area. Would be interesting.

I have to get to a range. I have no excuse, especially since Article 2 is less than 10 minutes away. LOL.

I actually like the sr9c a lot. Recoil isn't bad, easy to control, and feels just right in my hands. I, of course, use the pinky extender as it doesn't fit well without it.

I suggest try renting it at a range. If not, we can always meet up some time on a weekend and I can let you try it out.

I just recently shot it. But the rental didn't have the pinky. I like the pinky. They also had the 17rd mag as well.

I liked it. Trying to find a place to sell it to me for $400 OTD. But also looking at other 9s

I got my sr9c for 350 out the door with lifetime warranty through Marengo Guns that came with 3 10rnd mags, pinky extenders for each mag, and lock. I'm certain it was around Memorial Day when they had that sale.

I do like the stock trigger it has, as it's not to heavy but not to light for my taste. Especially compared to the .45 1911 I have. Lol. I need a trigger for that one. Just too heavy for my liking.

Must of been a sale cause it's like $415 from them on the site and fb.

I personally do not like the SR series of guns. Cept the 1911 of course. The mag safety is BS and I felt the glock, XD series, and M&P series felt better. Just my opinion though.

I have an sr22. The mag safety was never an issue for me. And I almost forgot it was there.

I'm a rookie when it comes to guns but I don't see an issue in that.

I've seen people bitch about the xds back strap safety and again never and issue for me.

I have the 22/45 and it came with the mag safety. Compared to my XDm, I hated plucking out the magazines. Then it was making sure it was in. I had the same issue when shooting the SR9. :dunno: Making sure its seated, and plucking is not my good time when glocks, XDs and M&Ps just slam in and slide out.

The second I found out how to get rid of it, I got rid of it for my 22/45.
