And the not so exciting reveal of the new toy. Wanted one of these for a while, asked my guy if he could get one and here we are.

The executives of that company have really driven it into the ground over the years.... they filed a couple years back too if I'm not mistaken.

You know you're run awful if you're one of the biggest firearm manufacturers in the country but are filing bankruptcy during the greatest gun sales period in US history.

I skimmed it over, they dropped $775M in debt back in 2018. Even with their ammunition branch they're still in bad shape.

Guy at work asked how I liked the 45, cuz he was looking to get their 9mm. Told him I ran 500 rounds with no issues, and friends love their 9mm.

But he says he cant find 9mm in stock for a decent price anywhere. Hes just looking to stock up on range ammo.

What does he consider "decent price"? If he wants it for pre-pandemic prices, he can kiss that goodbye for a long time.

I've got tons of it, but it's not going anywhere now for less than like $380 or so for 1000 rounds. Gunbroker has 1000 round cases going for almost $600, but im not messing with that clusterfuck of a site now.

Tell him to stay away from the brick and mortar shops then. lol

It's crazy right now. Many of the Chicago area places are charging like 39.99 for a box of 50, and have a 2 box limit. And that's only for sale if you shoot at their range.

It would be nice if all these manufacturers ramp up production like crazy and then things settle down. Could have an ammo surplus again and go back to old prices. I don’t think the average “I need a gun to protect my family from civil unrest” John Q Public is buying 1000’s of rounds. Probably think they’re good to defend their homes with a box of 50.
