Looks like the Fuel Tech C8 blew up on what would have been the first 8 second pass. The owner admits to cheeping out on rods and has another motor ready to go in. I bet we see a couple 8 second C8's before the year is over.

I just quickly watched one of the videos, but to me it sounds similar to a JB4.
But if you 3800 swap it they can get pretty damned fast.
3800 would have been a great engine for that car instead of the 2.8 and 3.1L engines.
