looks like jackie had track insurance, sold that one and is getting another one.

i've never signed up for track insurance, although it is less expensive these days for sure than when i first looked at the product long ago. i generally drive pretty conservatively (slowly lol) so i actually haven't even had an off in years... well... until last saturday. was rainy, my second (pry last) track day of the year, and whoopsies went off at autobahn turn 5. sideways over rumble strips too, not ideal :p tow hook not in either. this was at the subaru speed expo. thankfully i was able to channel my inner sti and get the car out of the grass and back onto the track.
How much do you think it is to insure a car like the supra for a day?

Here is a post I made in another thread. But my guess if he races a lot he has a multi-day or season rate. But even at 0.5% on $60k isn't "cheap".

It has been a while since I looked, but I seem to remember the insurance rate was like 0.5% to 2% of the insured value. So even at 0.5% of 3.5 million is $17,500. For one HPDE day. There are cheaper rates if you do multiple track day coverage at one.

When I got a quote on insurance for a HPDE on my 2011 Mustang GT it was insured for $40,000 and the premium was $295. With taxes, fire marshall fee, and other taxes, it was $319 all said and done. This was with a $7,500 deductible. Lower the deductible, the higher the rate. It is not what you call attractive.

it's some form of declared value + deductible. i'm sure you can price it out, although i'm feeling lazy. my guess is for a new supra and an hpde event it would be $500+ with a $2500+ deductible.

i'll also note 2 things -
1. it appears to be sold by the event these days - so you are much better off saving your insured events for 2-day weekend events!
2. jackie is doing time attack, not hpde - so i think it's a much more limited set of companies that are going to be willing to take him on.

I’m in one for the weekend. Wind buffeting with the windows down at 50-plus mph is unbearable. One of the worst I’ve experienced. I haven’t had a very positive take on this car after my first drive so we’ll see if a weekend driving changes my mind.
How many people try and race you in it?

Looks like it's a well-known problem.

Several months ago, Rutledge Wood teamed up with Rick Leos for the second time to build a car for SEMA. They reached out to Boost Logic for assistance in the "Go-fast" department.

For the last 90 days boost logic has been hard at work producing some new parts for the amazing A90 platform.

In that short amount of time we were able to prototype and design a very unique titanium exhaust system. Utilizing the OEM valves and our Our signature Quad Pipe Muffler section will recreate the B58 sound into a tone unlike any other system. The quad tune design further creates a throatier, resonated tone in the lower part of the rev-range and also a higher pitched sound not normally expected from the B58 at higher revs. We were also able to design and engineer our BL 750 Turbo package. The kit includes our custom Turbo charger, external wastegate, custom intake, and intercooler piping.

Panels, on top of panels, on top of panels.

But I don't hate it. I think the color helps some. And I just like wide hips on cars.

I wish there were fewer panels put over the OE panels. Like a true formed widebody panel. Fender, quarters, and so on. But looks designed to fit the car versus the widebody panels Dodge uses. They are just terrible.

Seriously, hillbilly widebodies (exactly what that supra has) are the worst.

Dodge puts the fender flares from a ram on to a 10 year old charger and joe dirt's cousins all lose their shit. Looks like crap
