In NYC this week so grabbed a slice of pizza for lunch....what a fucking joke some people claim this is better than Chicago tavern style pizza. It's not bad, but it's not close to what we have in Chicago.

I didn't even know jersey style was a thing. I'm going back in 2 weeks and am staying in Parsippany, NJ.....I'll try Jersey style

What is New Jersey style? From my very basic search, there doesn't seem to be a huge difference. Can't say I've ever had or seen something coined New Jersey style, so I'm curious if I need to search this out.

There is a New Jersey style pizza place near me in Glen Ellyn that I've been meaning to try. I have no idea how New Jersey style compares to NY style.

In NJ there is a version called a tomato pie at some places. Never had it.

My experience in NJ, been there a lot, it's mostly NY/Northeast style. I've had pizza in NY, NJ, DE, MA, a lot of it is the same style.

I had the New Haven version of the tomato pie. It's better than the cheese version.

Wife and I thought Sally's was one of the best pizzas we've ever had, and we have different tastes.

Less grease and a slice you don’t have to fold has been my experience. Crispy crust.

People in Florida raved about Wawa pizza like we do with Casey's. It sucks.

Took MOM to Uncle Jerrys in Cary yesterday. Been wanting to try the place but there is usually a long line and no reservations. Figured fuck it lets try 11AM on Mother's Day. (Got right in)

I don't do deep dish a lot but the pizza was good. I ordered the 9" Classic Sausage. Only complaint is that the pizza was kinda light on the sausage. Had like 2 small pieces per slice. Could barely taste it.

Other than that, great value. Spent $40 for two pizza's and drink(s) with tip. Not bad. She ate 2-3 slices and I consumed the entire 9 inche pizza.
