after building cars for people all my life i decided to build one of my own using the sloppy 8f8 and the og colorado .
build list to date :
gen 3 5.3 with gen 4 rods and pistons
btr single turbo stage 2 cam with btr .660 springs
VS racing s480 w/ .96 ar housing twin vs 50mm waste gates and vs blow off valve
VS racing 3" intercooler with tubing kit
tbss intake
stock truck manifolds with v bands
monkey fab T6 flange
ebay camaro radiator
ford contour twin fans
fasster fuel tbss fuel rails / 100 and 10 micron filters
pqy 8-8-6 fuel pressure regulator
magnafuel 4303 fuel pump
th400 w/ t-brake
sloppy / jegs special torque converter (3200-3500 stall)
12 bolt car rear w/ 3.31 gears 33 spline axles and posi
swapping the car to fox body power steering rack
22 gallon fuel cell going in the trunk
caltrac bars w/ split mono leafs
double adjustable rear shocks
15x8 rear wheels for now with 275/60-15 drag radials (hope to find a 15x10 soon)
plans for when its finished is to attempt drag week and rocky mountain race week.
decided not to go the typical route for the turbo location or with a turbo log .
down and forward truck manifolds that required notching the sub frame on both sides , removal of the stock gear box (wanted power rack anyway) .
custom solid motor mounts and more to come later (still deciding on if i should leave the body and paint how i bought it or save up and paint it )
