Couldn't care less about the mid engine setup, but what's this about a 32v v8 engine??? GM finally doing away with the pushrod configuration motors??

80k starting price??? RIP Viper. Also I dig the idea of the premium model using a DOHC motor but I hope GM still keeps the pushrod motors. Mid engine means that engine size and weight aren't as big of factors anymore

I can't see the mass produced base vette ever being mid engine. A mid engine halo car sure, but not the every day base corvettte.

A mid engine supercar built by GM should be built as a Cadillac. The corvette should be left alone. It would be like Porsche building a front engine 911.

But Porsche builds a MID-engine car called a Cayman/Boxster. So why not
2 levels of Corvette. Besides perhaps the Camaro takes on the role of front engine track car ie Z28.

The Cayman and the Boxster are not 911's. Porsche did actually build a mid engine 911, won LeMans with one, but that's a whole 'nother story.

This car would be sick as hell if they could make it like an affordable Saleen S7 with a TT V8.
