Which if they had the airborne aspect of the virus in the show then this would still be justifiable but if all this cure is doing is making me not turn into one yet they’re still trying to consume me….who cares

'Who cares' as in you don't care if you could prevent turning since you could still get ripped apart? I'm not sure I get that 'who cares'. If I could be immune from the bite, I'd say it still increases your chances of surviving greatly.

I think what he means is... if the 'cure' in Ellie doesn't kill off the cordyceps, just keeps them from taking her over, then they'd still be growing and eventually kill her by destroying healthy tissue in it's pursuit of growth.

The idea that the infected might not recognize her as being infected yet because she's not connected to the 'hive mind' through the tendrils does make sense.

2 years is about normal for a well written show.
Breaking bad did 62 episodes in 6 years, better call saul was 63 episodes in 7 years, Expanse was 62 episodes in 6 years and it was made for streaming. All of those shows had more substance per season than the Last of Us IMO.

A 2+ year wait for a season that'll likely have 8 episodes is ridiculous IMO
