Car Care Questions is a used car dealer whose channel I follow. This video is about a day at an auction. He suggests prices will be dropping slowly, soon. Saw a lot of no sales and bargaining in lane with sellers wanting more than buyers would pay. He lists some vehicles and what they sold for at auction.

when I listed my car for sale I got dealers trying to buy non stop and plenty willing to give top dollar for it. In the end I chose the closest one and they paid out.

Yeah, and tax time has seen a resurgence in prices. Car Care Questions said this tax season was the worst he has seen. People weren't getting big checks this year. Says Dealers need to feel some pain before they drop prices and suggests that will be coming.

Dealers seem to have been saved by the manufacturers whom all seem to be suppressing production. The chip shortages of 2020-2022 are over but they're still forecasting <14m cars this year. Unemployment is low, average age of the cars on the road is at record highs, so there's only one reason to not make more vehicles: margin. If you actually need a car just fuck off I guess.
