I'm still scared of making the jump to German...

Although....one thing that I noticed at the auto show is VW is now offering 7/80K warranty on 2018 models. So that may throw a Golf R into the mix...or maybe a Golf Alltrack Wagon 6-speed. The Alltrack is definitely down on power, but the utility is there and a tuner may add some fun factor back in.

The X-drive is cool as it is rear biased until it needs the other wheels to have more traction. So it kind of acts like a RWD car on dry roads and not at the limits of grip. But the XDrive suspension is not as good as the RWD suspension up front. Plus the XDrive can cause simple repairs to have a lot more labor cost due to the extra pieces that need to be removed. As well as more parts to break. I guess that isn't an issue with a warranty. But check their warranty as well. They made changes this past year and length, mileage, and what it covers.

I really like my E90 Xdrive auto. The car launches hard when I brake torque it and spool the turbos. Tires make a little noise but otherwise, it launches pretty hard and scoots!
