yeah man like 40-50 mph speed, when there isn't traffic... MAAAYBE and then even still, like hopp the curb and stay in it?

rt 120 from 3-7pm through this stretch is 32 mph at best.

Possibly Truck has a 5.0L in it that thinks it’s a Mustang.

i remember watching a old man peg the throttle and smash into the front of a grocery store when i was a little guy.
my dad ran up to him and old guy stroked out or had a grabber..

i wonder if something similar happened here..

i visited that starbucks a few times my last couple days in the states when i stayed with my parents, it was open the latest. definitely seems like a stroke or something along with bad luck to cross all that traffic and hit the building with that much momentum. recalling the layout that was probably the best place/least trafficked part to hit at least.

totally. mustang dna. even my rental felt like it could just drive itself into a group of people at any time. I swear I felt a slight tug when I drove by the dunkin donuts, luckily no starbucks were on the way to work.

From what I’m hearing there are at least 2 people in critical condition, 4 with really bad injuries, 1 treated and released and the driver was intoxicated (that’s not confirmed yet).
Impact was well above the speed limit (30-35 mph?) and parts of the building and furniture was launched across the room and out the opposite side of the building (right side of the pictures) where the main entrance is.
Media reported that someone was trapped under the truck and rescue efforts were slowed because of fear of the building coming down but civilians and people passing by ran into the building before EMS got there.
