TCG Tour 2015 in the books

I don't think there will be a 'better' one. This was the first, it set the bar, so from now on we'll always have to compare it to this one and I don't think we can top it. Aside from all the route deviation and last minute destination changes, we all got to where we needed to be and all the nights ended with us in one piece and up and early for the next day of horsehockey.

I feel bad for the people who didn't make this one. They will never know how this all started.

I showed up to this without knowing a single soul face to face, just through jibber jabber here. Feel like I walked away with over a dozen new friends.

Sounds like a great time was had. These kinds of gatherings are a tone of fun. I've been to many Marauder meets around the country and they are a blast.

Perhaps I can attend next year. Sounds like lots of fun.


Also one thing we've done at many Marauder gatherings. We've gotten police escorts in certain towns. They would block off intersections for us so our group ( which would contain 35-80 cars ) would not be broken up. Sometimes they'd do it for free, other times we'd take up a collection to donate to one of the causes. It's always fun blasting through red lights and intersections while traffic waits for us.

I just gotta say what a fucking awesome time to be alive. Multiple 400-500-600+++ HP cars not only making the trip, but getting decent mileage and road manners of a dd.

Lemme get an Amen to that! Impressive times for sure.

This trip was the most fun I've had with my car in the nearly 5 years that I've owned it. Looking forward to next year.

Some things I learned (and some I reaffirmed):

• @Eagle is a fearless driver
• I suck at starting a roll race
• 103 MPH is the limiter in 3rd gear (learned this about a dozen times)
• A '78 vette gets shitty gas mileage
• Jets pizza is yummy
• Mildly modded GTR's aren't scary from a roll
• Z06 and Grand Sports have way different gear ratios
• @Mook's Evo is fast (when it's not being towed)
