flipping through august issue of grass roots motorsports…and I saw the Franken Jeep/vette thing from Elgin in the magazine. Is the owner of this on the site?
They must have been seriously hurting for content! I did about shit myself when I turned that page!
Just got it running again today with the 5.3 donor motor, came with 4th gen rods! Old motor had 3rd gens, and I broke 7’s rod which then took out 8’s also. Pistons looked good, no signs of detonation, so it was just the 20+ psi the rods couldn’t take.
I’m going to see if I can get free Sunday morning for C&C.
