They definitely didnt.. They were killed off by some old fart on the board of directors in 08, then he retired a short time later.. total asshat. That would be the one vehicle I have owned over the years that i wish i could find and buy back.

Name is Ron, been strange trip. Back in the early '00s was in sales, had a side gig that turned into a full time gig modifying/tuning/making parts for the L67 platform. Economy took a dump and I was out. The 16+ hour days were taking their toll anyway. Got out of it for a few years and got into BMW's. Started a new career in industrial Maintenance. Now I'm a CMMS admin for 7 Amazon sites. Dick around with my 535xi wagon, might once again build a race car when I don't have such a full house.

My name's Ben. I own a construction company and have been working in the trades since I was 13. But my passion is classic cars and anything with wheels. I daily a 2010 ram 2500 and the wife has a 07 aspen, but my projects are all over the place. I have a 78 cutlass that's tubbed and turbo ls swapped, a 65 vw bug that i converted to a true auto from a 412 wagon, a 59 chevy parkwood that i just got that's getting a full resto, and I just got rid of my 68 c20. My favorite part of my hobby is sharing it with my kids. My oldest is a gearhead just like me.

And TA!!im jon. live in the snowy end of Canada in the eastern Atlantic provinces. im a certified VW technician by trade but after many years left vw and started my own shop which my wife works with me who is a mechanic as well. we primarily fix Volkswagens but I also do body work and painting plus I fix Harleys so the shop is a zoo most days.
as for my rides well I have an array of old junk, some sloppy some nice lol 1990 K3500 with a 550hp carb'd 454/4 speed, squeaky clean 1992 GMC 2 door Yukon, 1972 c10, 2005 srt4 stage 3 and a few volkswagens and a 16 wrangler not worth mentioning lol .couple old Harleys, 2009 Dyna with custom paint and a built motor 120 hp rear wheel and a carb'd geezer glide plus im a 2 stoke lover so always gotta have a rm250 of some sort in the arsenal.
I also have a 77 trans am which ive inherited from my father when he passed, he bought it new and its pretty much mint but its just tucked away in a garage hiding until the time is right.

As far as cars, I change them as often as I change my socks. Every Modern Mopar since 05 I have owned, modified, beat the piss out of and sold. Including a Hellcat and Trackhawk. My Wife has a 2020 Cherokee, Daughter has a 18 Wrangler w/baby lift, son has 18 Challenger RT. Current DD is a 2021 Tahoe Z71 w/24" Replicas on it. Current toy is a LS 6.0 swapped 83 Regal that is pretty much sold. Hitting Florida this weekend in search of a 71-76 Caprice/Impala "donk" and will LS swap that as well. Hoping to find one thats already painted a color I like and willing to spend the extra dough. But have a feeling I'm going to spend less and bring something home that needs paint.

Nice. I've threatened to sell my Camaro for a buggy a couple times, but I'm in too deep now. lol
Dude this thing is too much fun. All said and done I'm only about $2500 into the whole thing, including the stock engine. I have about that much into a 1914cc engine in the corner of the garage, which was originally for the buggy, but I'm pretty worried about the bone stock 1964 swing axles holding up to almost triple the horsepower.
My wife bought it after high school in 2009 to pull horse trailers. In 2016, the old TBI 350 and trans were tired at 330k miles, so I swapped in an 05 5.3 with a 4l60e. It uses a PSI swap harness, wally 450 hanging off the in tank basket, and the stock p59 ecu. All the gauges work except fuel. Super simple swap.
Last year I decided I wanted burnouts, so I did a 228/230 .585 cam (Sloppy Stage 2), Howards springs, and an ebay turbo hanging off the china turbo manifold. TIt was great for about a month, then there was an accident where the gas pedal got stuck to the floor and the 60e didn't know what to do, so instead of shifting it just pounded the rev limiter for like 5 seconds at 10lbs of boost and 20 minutes later uncle Rodney was knocking. It was fun while it lasted but I love the truck too much so slapped a brand new junkyard 5.3 in its place and simply left out the turbo portion. Truck still rolls out and is a blast to drive, and relatively reliable. I'll save for a 80 and do it again eventually I guess.

Also have an '06 Sierra 1500HD as my tow pig and daily a '12 Impala ltz. The past few years I've been flipping all kinds of stuff but mostly Cherokee XJ's as a side hustle for college money and actually just picked a minty clean 65k mile '89 Comanche 2wd with a blown 2.5 and peugeot 5 speed. That will be getting a 4.0HO ax15 4x4 swap hopefully before the end of the year (donor in the background of camaro pic). This spring a buddy and I picked up a '93 Sea Ray 180br that needed a motor and it got the $150 4.3 vortec craigslist special truck engine treatment. Also the only brand new vehicle/toy I've ever owned, my 2020 Can-Am Outlander 850.
