My brother has the bigger one and he isn’t a huge fan of using it as a smoker. He loves it as a grill though lol. At first he raved about it as a smoker, but a few cooks afterwards, not so much. I’d have to ask, but maybe temps shoot up, and something with the pellet hopper having issues. He has the 2nd gen as the 1st gen were horrible.

I have a filet I gotta do tonight. How did you do this? Temp/time
salt, pepper, garlic, get the grill to 400-425ish, oil grates, face down until you see the white stuff kinda oozing out, then wait a few more mins. if you can flake down to the skin with a fork its ready to go. hard to say a time without seeing it, since different sizes will be all different times, but last night these were around 18 mins. around 14oz each. before cooking.
