$40/plate for me is a once-a-quarter splurging for steak. I'm also TCG Bottom 10%'er

However twice a year I go for the Brazilian Steak houses, plop down my $50-60 and refuse to leave the table until the meat sweats have saturated my clothes.

Yeah, that was an expensive dinner, but well worth it. Wine and desserts were great too.

A year or two ago we went to some fancy place in Oakbrook for a friends birthday dinner. After we ate they brought around the dessert samples. They looked good, so I figured a bigger version would be tasty, so I got some chocolate thing. Little did I know that the tiny samples were the actual size of the desserts. It was like $12 for a shot glass sized item. What a rip off.

Told the g/f that next time we’re skipping dessert and getting a half-sheet cake from the bakery instead. Same price but like 20x more substance.

Price per pound is super legit. $14.99 for those ribeye and 21 for the filets is awesome

BBQ sauce review: dessert. Taste like apple pie. Apple sauce and cinnamon. Not enough spicy or peppery bite here, IMO. Good and unique, but not a repeat buy for me.

For those curious, spare ribs were rubbed with steak rub and smoked with applewood, spritz'd with apple cider vinegar. No wild cards in cook or preparation.
