I love
I prefer the butter wax, it smells better
I love the smell of wax, but it's just so much work to keep up with. If you have a dark colored car it doesn't last for shit in the summer. I'm too poverty to afford a proper ceramic job, but any of the off the shelf type products (currently using Cerakote) are decent enough. 2 treatments within a week will usually last a month or more. As long as you have a good base to work with, only takes 10-20 minutes to do a whole car.

P and S epic waterless wash

Picked some up and gave it a go today. Also decided to try out some 3D bead it up, which is supposed to be similar to bead maker, but from what i've seen/read, seems like it could have slightly more longevity than bead maker. But I haven't used this stuff yet. Waiting until I do a full foam wash on the car so the paint is as clean as it can be. I'm just going to use it as a topper.

Anyways, I'm mostly pleased w/ the p&s waterless, but I found it to be a bit streaky on some parts of my car, ESPECIALLY my hood. I don't know if it wasn't playing nice w/ the PPF or what, it didn't give me that much trouble on my other ppf'ed panels, but I was spraying it on and wiping it up for the initial cleanup, and then id spritz a little bit more back on and buff it out w/ a separate towel, and thats where I was getting the streaks. I had to change my method up and used the waterless for the initial, and then spritzed w/ some of my p&s show n shine detail spray after for the followup and that seemed to be the ticket. I did just order a gallon of this stuff from detailed image today, so no matter what I'm in it now :ROFLMAO:

What kind of towels were you using ?

my normal detailing towels for the body panels are rag company spectrum 420 dual pile. So normally for detailing/buffing I use the short pile side, and for the waterless wiping i use the larger pile side. I did also order up some eagle edgeless 500 towels today which i will switch to solely for waterless wiping

The eagles will be super safe to not scratch but they are not very absorbent.

Many of the rinseless washes offer a dilution ratio for a 'waterless' wash.

Even with a coating or ppf, I would only use the waterless option for spot cleaning and light dust.

I have not used the Epic ww, I cannot speak to the streaking.

I was going to consider trying to do more waterless washes, as that's easier for me than busting out the hose/soap. Curious why you'd say to only do it for more of a spot/touch-up?

Rinseless washing and Waterless washing often are used interchangeably. This would be an error.

Rinseless washing is replacing the 'soap' with the rinseless product in the bucket. Typically a Rinseless specific sponge, wash mitt or multiple towels are used to 'wash' the vehicle. There are no suds, so there is no reason to 'rinse' the vehicle. The rinseless solution on the panels serves as lubrication, so you can proceed to dry the panel.

Waterless washing is using a product in a spray bottle and towels. Literally spray and wipe.

I'm OCD and even though the industry giants will tell you that rinseless washing is safer than using soap.... I do not want to rely on waterless washing: spraying and wiping.
Would I think differently if the vehicle is covered in PPF, maybe. I would still only rely on 'waterless' washing for light clean up / spot treatment.

Ceramic coatings are not scratch / mar proof, so I would not want to induce any 'marks' that would require polishing to remove. Since newer vehicles have less and less paint material on them, polishing them once a year is not feasible if you're interested in preserving paint in the long term.

I rinseless wash when and where necessary but it's not my go to. I will use 'soap' whenever I have the opportunity to do so.
