26' and still only comfortable room for 8ish people. great boat but a pontoon of the same size would seat twice that with more room.
oh absolutely
but a combo chain/lake cumberland boat, way better for 8 people to go out on this on LC than a pontoon for a day.
god and a 22' pontoon would be so much "easier" to live with docking, putting on a lift, beaching.
the give a F factor with bumping anything with aluminum is so much lower than glass.
I've kissed a dock or two when it's real busy and choppy. Barely a knick in the trim. Fuck, the bumpers on my trailer have done more damage to the trim than the docks did.
i think it'd be pretty comparable.
240br's are newer though
my formula was an 03 i don't think the 240 existed until 05 at the earliest.
i posted that one that was kinda similar at the local dealer for high 30s but was newer and had an extended platform
if i was near the chain id lowball this guy and just know it might need an engine at some point.

I get it. If I wasn't gifted my place, I'd be buying a pool too.
i dont think id ever pay out for a pool like pay to get one put in...
nice thing about a boat is it's at least liquid so if life changes you can off the boat. not like i could sell my pool on craiglist

No but I don't live on the chain so I'd much more easily float in my pool on a random Tuesday than drive up to my boat, take it off the lift, cruise 7 channels and drop anchor to float at a sandbar.
