I rapid fire watched the streams on YT. Mildly entertaining and I don't envy the new owner.





Anyone have thoughts on the Formula 280 SS? No intentions of buying in the near future, but have narrowed down my preferences to this or something super similar. Love the "sportiness" of it, plenty of space on board for people and having a cabin.

Formulas are great boats. I've pretty much been looking for 292, 312 and 353 FasTechs. Well built, great riding with tons of cockpit and cabin space. Coming from someone who's used to a huge cockpit and cabin layout of the Baja Outlaws, a Formula would be my choice to retain that open space while gaining a hull that can actually perform well.

I've had a few Formulas (242, 272, 271) and will echo what Outlaw said.
They are the only brand of boat I look at anymore.

In regards to a 280, I might step up to a 310 and pick up twins. My 271(single 540) sucked getting up on top of the water but my 272 was a rocket with the twins.
Just my $.02. I'll never own another single engine bigger boat again.

I’m sure you’ve seen this but damn son, I’d go big blocks for whatever reason those 6.2’s don’t seem to last as long, sunsation 32 dominator with 8.1 mag h.o.’s is a big ol rocket ship, supposed to run low 80’s stock with nice room, that will probably be my next boat, the fastech’s are another option or maybe a power quest
