Bruceskis post on FB with pictures.

5:45am call for a submerged car, just north of rt14 bridge in fox river grove. From what we were told the car was traveling 66mph in a 35 and attempted to elude police thru a subdivision. Police were not in pursit but were looking for the vehicle when the car was spotted traveling at a very high rated of speed and drove straight thru a intersection, bounced off a parked mini van, thru a fire pit, smashed through the gazebo, jumped the dock, flew over the boat lift and ended up in the middle of the river. The resident of the house was on her porch when this all happened and a kayaker rescued the driver. A loaded gun was also found on the drivers floor.

The new to me canoe.
OFFSHORE DRILLING III
It’s a 14.5’ Mad River Canoes St. Croix. Paid three fiddy for it. Needs a new yoke. Coworker actually busted the yoke in his much larger canoe, so I can chop 3” off the ends of his old one and throw it in mine. WIN.

havent told the gf I bought it yet

i was just thinking lengthwise mainly
Ah. It sticks out from the back of the car maybe 2’ when I have it balanced on the center Of the rack. I don’t think the front or rear tie down is necessary. I hung on the gunwale and shook the whole car and the canoe doesn’t move in any direction

I’ll snap pics when I toss it back up there.

Had to google what the hell a yoke was. Seems you can buy replacement hardware and wood.

It’s a piece of wood. If I had to build one from scratch I’d be out $15 in materials. Hardware is stainless and still good on mine, just cut down the old one I got, in the middle of sanding it now. Running out at lunch for some stain and poly. It’ll be bolted back up before I head home
