For 50-60K that a clean MKIV (do they really go for that now) goes for I would probably end up doing what my buddy did which was get an IS300 and do a NA-T swap on it. He has 20Kish in the car and it makes 1100hp. Even if you had a shop build it out (he did most the work) You'd end up with a lot more car for a lot less coin. He made 690 at the wheels with a billet 67 and went to an 83 later on. BC272 cams, an intake and header were his flow mods and it was through a full 3" exhaust.
Overall though I think the Nissan could have more potential for what it is, but you'd certainly pay more to mod it as of now. The 2JZ is kind of like the Grand National to me, the technology in it is amazing for its time to the point where it is still viable but it's fading compared to new platforms like the GT-R.
I like what I like. I mean, it should be expected...I off of a Lumina for crissakes.
did you catch the disease next thing you will want a not quite full size van because they make you turn around and look at it and go on the way into walmart?

For that price I would buy a C6 ZR1. Surprise, I know.

Only on this forum will a thread about GTR and Supra do we end up talking about Astro vans.
I feel like the MKIII is deff underrated in the Supra world. Can make 350 - 400 HP pretty easily and good looks too! I considered buying one onceId still love to pick up a minty MKIII thats been done up right, but even those are overpriced when you find a good one.
