You guys putting out spreads?

I'm thawing out some of the chili I made to make some chili nachos. My buddy is bringing wings. For the main course I'm going to make Coquille St. Jacques.

WTH is Coquille St. Jacques? It's scallops braised in butter/mushroom/shallot/white wine. Scallops, shallots and mushrooms get removed and the liquid gets turned into a cream sauce. The sauce gets spooned over the scallops, mushrooms and onions. I add some gruyere cheese and it goes in the oven to brown the top and finish the scallops. It's pretty damned good. I think I'm going to break from the recipe and wrap the scallops in bacon. Needs a little more fat.

I have a pic from when I made it last. The flavors are amazing. There won't be anything left in any of the dishes. The recipe is all over the web. I used foodwishes.com to get the basic recipe. Chef John uses scallop shells to plate it but lah dee dah.

We are doing make your own Taco Bell style tacos, but with real meat. A “real man” blazing habanero salsa and a weak salsa for the wooses.
