Subway stops using oregano

i'm in smallish town northern thailand now and working us hours, my late time eats are a 24/7 7-11, mcd's, subway, and a coffee shop. the only one i refuse to go to is subway... not a big fan anyway but it's the one i trust the absolute least out here as well.

I ate at Subway all the time in Alaska because there was one close and it was convenient. Spicy Italian with extra pepper jack and chipotle sauce FTW.

Sucks about the oregano... I got it every time.

I go there maybe once every couple weeks. Been getting the same thing for years too. Don't care. It's food. Never really get oregano on my sandwich either, so this does not matter to me at all. In fact, it's probably been almost a couple weeks now, maybe I will go there this week.

When did that happen? I was at Subway last week in Ohio and got Oregano on my sandwich.

I went to Subway on Sunday . Got my sandwich all prepared. Last thing I say is Salt , pepper , and oregano . Lady shut me down on the oregano . ?

This is a plausible answer I have found on the interwebs :

" It’s no longer required so stores can choose not to have them. Honestly if they sold them in smaller amounts, I think stores would be more willing to keep them but as it is now, you get a whole bunch of oregano bags, one bag takes forever to go through, and then the expiration date arrives and you have a whole bunch of oregano to throw out and that’s money wasted . "

Not sure if true though . The lady at the store I go to said to me Subway doesn't carry it anymore . There's a Subway in Belvidere I'll try to go to during the week and see if they stock oregano.

Subway is fine in a pinch...their rotisserie chicken is about the only thing I'd eat there anyways...expensive, but if I've got no other options, it'll do.

And fuck Jersey Mike's overrated junk, Subway>JM...But I'd rather have Firehouse or Potbellies if I had the choice (but even Potbellies is kind of blah). Wich Witch is also solid. But they all pale in comparison to Wawa...do yourself a favor and find one....so good.

WaWa actually has the components of a restaurant inside so it's a lot better than the usual gas station food. We grab food from there a couple times a month. I haven't had a bad sandwich from there yet.

Oh wow! That sounds great. I had no idea they did that. I've been avoiding sandwich shops because I'm trying to not eat bread. That's awesome. Thanks for info!
