IIRC you log into the Fitbit website and in your profile settings you can change your stride length. Default is āautomaticā, which I found to be inaccurate. You have to measure your stride length and then enter it.dunno what my stride is. was in thailand at the start of this, back in the states for a month in july (lowest marks) then mexico city for the rest of this chart, although i didn't always have it on.

i did some spot checks when i had the prior one above when i first got it, and it seemed to be working well. i'll test the new one when i go for a longer walk and adjust accordingly, thanks!IIRC you log into the Fitbit website and in your profile settings you can change your stride length. With the Garmin you enter both the distance measured and the number of steps. So like I said, Iām 20 steps over 50ā I could also enter 40 steps over 100ā. Both fields are open to enter a value.
