Binged the entire season while hung over yesterday. Worthy of a watch.

Lots of cringey dialogue that I’m not sure is bad direct translation or eastern culture that is foreign to me as a red blooded American consuming a crave case on my living room floor.

Yes. but you have to watch it in Korean, or don't bother.

Watching right meow... it's decent. Episode 3 with the shape etching test is gruesome and keeps you on the edge I don't mind the voice overs either :)

Just finished. Overall really enjoyed this show. My only complaint was that they drag some scenes on a bit much. Probably could have cut and hour or two out of the total run time. Very entertaining though!!

Yeah usually the folks doing the dubbing sometimes have to make a decision how to translate something like "that's how the cookie crumbles." All languages have unique expressions like that.

I don’t use dubs because it fucks with the background noise and music. I don’t think there’s a way to mute just the voices of the actors and redo them.

I watch foreign shows with subtitles, I don't turn dubbing on.

I speak conversational Japanese so I do sometimes notice the difference between what an actor says and the subtitles.

My gf was watching last night catching up on what she fell asleep for. We turned off the English dub and it was a complete different show

How so is the show different without the dubs? Is the translation better with English subtitles/Korean audio vs the English dub?

I could ask a Korean friend, he's likely to have watched it. I find dubs distracting. I watch a lot of non-US stuff actually, I just run the subtitles.

The voice acting. With the English dub it’s very low budget parody movie sounding.

I enjoy the tone and delivery of the lines in the original language, in that way Korean and Japanese are kind of similar. Like if a character made a derisive comment to another, you get the full experience if you know what I mean.
