I appreciated the movie, but the pacing was horrible and all that inner-dialog with Paul Atreides was just...odd. It sounded like he was reading his thoughts from a script, and now how it would sound in your head. Plus, having that dialog in his head just seems like really lazy/bad writing.

For some reason, it doesn't bother me in Christmas Story. I don't know what it is that makes it different, but it just seems really crappy in Dune.

Ok, I wont go that far. Its not a 24 hour worthy movie though. THAT is what really killed it for me.

I had a childhood family party we went to when I was in my late teens/early 20s. It was on. Every. Damn. Year. And it was one of those 2PM to 10PM types of parties.

Yes, I was forced to watch it.

Its like a debate every year around Christmas even on here. CV cs CS is always a debate. Then you have the Die Hard camp, which Ill agree is up there, but those two are always debated. Even at my wife's family parties while the god damn 24 hours of fucking CS is on in the background for the 3rd god damn time.

I refuse to waste the space on my Plex to even give it a home. I know where to find it if I really have to watch it.
