Got the car at my friends garage and checked it out without the front bumper. I cannot believe theyre totaling it just by looking at it. The driver side motor mount is cracked but that's really the only underside damage i can see. Must not be straight and i just cant tell.

Frame must be bent if they are totaling it. You could buy it back but you'd need to get it straightened and would have a salvage title. That's a hassle and the car wouldn't be worth the same. I wouldn't want to drive a high performance car with a repaired frame.

In IL, if the car is newer than 8 years old, you're not allowed to buy the car back.

Parts are all off and the car is back to "stock". Just waiting for them to come pick it up.

The tires aired up no problem. Didn't damage them at all, just took them off the bead. Wheels don't really look that bad either.

Whipple is gone. Axles are gone. Only thing left is the suspension and rear wheels. Selling stuff on FB is a nightmare so I may wait to try to move those.

I still have a Mustang. But my 2013 is not even in the same universe as this car was. I don't particularly like the S197 all that much. I've put less than 5000 miles on it in the last 3.5 years.

I enjoyed my S550 but liked my 2011 much more. The s550 felt too refined and numb in comparison. But would make a better daily driver as it was more comfortable. I don't miss my s550 much but think about my s197 often.
