Goverment is proposing a bill that will require automakers to have ESC on all cars by 2012.

Dont know if thats a good or bad thing as far as performance and modding goes.

And correct me if i'm wrong, but i think this is mandatory in Germany and Europe now.

it would possibly mean the ability to use a scantool to look at the 3 axis accelerometer readings...maybe use it like a factory installed G-force meter?
something similar to what people are doing modding the Onstar GPS systems nowadays...

and if you dont like the system, i bet you could pull a fuse and kill it...

The programers will always figure away around it .....


It will drop insurance rates as well....always a plus.

...by the time 2012 comes around im sure that

A) ill be in so much debt from all the cars i keep getting every year and end up financing a 500$ car for 50,000$ cuz of payoffs on old cars lol

or

B) ill be dead because one of the many cars ill have owned will be able to do 200 and ill die at 200

so..... whatever lol

Just like airbags did :rolleyes: Sure they will give you a drop in rates, after they raise them. Down with big business
