Some asshole in a panamera decides to come to a full stop for no reason in front of the fire station on route 14 by 59, I give a healthy squeeze on the front brake, it pulses in my hand, yet still locked. Meanwhile, I put both feet down and it leans left, so all my and the bikes weight is on my left knee, and I'm next to the Porsche, facing oncoming traffic.(In the pouring rain)

Be careful on those lines guys, they are as bad as ice when wet. I thought I knew this, but when my abs kicked in the bike still slid on them pretty bad. I am at good shepard hospital posting this now in the waiting room cause my knee kills, but I managed to keep her up. ALL 500 lbs. :(

Yeah those things are unforgiving. Good to hear you didn't put the bike down though!

Ouch!!! I have had a bad experience with those lines as well. 355 N/B near 63rd there is a curve, and the remnants of the construction striping is still there, so a little mist+a high speed curve+wet traffic lines= back end slipping out at highway speeds. I was not happy, but I sure was lucky that day...

Wish you the best man, hopefully the knee is just sore and nothing is torn up

Hope your knee is ok, and I'm always cautious over any painted lines be dry or wet.

First rule of driving is people will do the dumbest thing possible at the worst possible moment so don't follow so closely. GL with your knee.
