Little update. Shock Therapy, the tuning company, is doing everything they can to make it right. They contacted UPS and gave them the right address to make sure the shocks are headed my way. They have dedicated customer service, that is for sure. Overall good and genuinely nice people there. I would still recommend them to people in the sxs world. I am looking forward to the improvement in ride performance and quality.

I have my spare tire, high lift utv Jack, bunch of water, first aid kit, tire plugs and small electic tire inflator, extra hats and sunscreen, lighter, extra drive belt, basic tools to change a tire or belt, tow rope, and GPS. That is basically it, mainly just emergency stuff.

PRP is the company I use for storage solutions. Their door bags seem like thick good quality stuff. Big zippers.

so i just ordered a bunch of little BS from amazon.

tire plug kit
12v tire inflator
I have an extra belt
first aid kit
12v blanket for my wife to fend off cold
two cheapo ponchos
10' amazon basics $10 jumper cables
two fire extinguisher mounts- 1 for a fire extinguisher, one for jbl charge speaker
fire extinguisher
lashing straps for my bed
these plug dealios that make tie down spots in my bed.

and i ordered a PRP bag, a door bag for a rzr came, but i have the correct one at home now (supposedly) i like the quality of the rzr one from what i saw though.

i want to add a tow rope (something which could also be used to extend my winching distances)

im hoping i can put the majority of that stuff in the under seat storage, and whatever i can't i hope fits in that prp bag.

thanks for the suggestions :bigthumb:

She is back together until all of the other goodies come in. I decided to take it to the mountain trail down the road for the test ride as it will be the roughest terrain I will ride on with it. The trail was in the worse shape I have ever seen it, so it was a true test for the new suspension. Initial thoughts...mind blown.

I need to raise up the ride height a bit still, which is expected with a new set up. But, the first ride out was quite impressive. 10/10 improvement. Going over curb sized rocks at speed and not getting jarred around is a weird feeling, but awesome.

The rest of my front end suspension stuff came in. I am throwing it all on this Saturday so I will post all of the stuff and pictures then. A little teaser until then.

The first pic is of the stock shock tower brace, which is single shear for some reason. This new hotness makes it double shear and adds some bling as well. The new piece is billet aluminum porn. Anodized black and then put back on the cnc machine for some murica. That CT Race Worx place makes some extremely high quality stuff. 20190522_163553.jpeg20190522_163709.jpeg20190522_163652.jpeg

it's so crazy to me how well built and thought out these things are, yet all of the room for improvements as well.

I got the rest of my front end upgrades installed this weekend. New bushings, shock tower brace, new bumper/bulkhead, and adjusted the new shocks for the appropriate ride height. Front end ground clearance is just over 15 inches and the rear is just under 15 inches. She rides like a dream.

The stock bushings aren't bad by any means, but the new ones are custom machined Delrin bushings and are much higher quality. The deflection on the stock bushings became evident after I installed the new bushings and had one hell of a time getting everything back together. I spent half of the day wrestling the a arms back into place. The photo below shows what I mean about how stiff the delrin bushings are. The stock ones could easily be bent over, the delrin ones wouldn't flinch.

The new bumper is an absolute beast. It is about 5lbs heavier than stock and gusseted to all hell. The stock one was the thinnest sheet metal you could put on a machine I am pretty sure and the new one is pretty heavy gauge steel.

The shock tower brace added a steel support that ties into the frame. With everything added, the front end really stiffened up and feels quite solid. Much needed improvements if I am going to have this for a while and drive it hard. 20190525_095218.jpeg20190525_095226.jpeg20190525_141832.jpeg20190525_141841.jpeg20190525_154628.jpeg

I upgraded my tie down system for the trailer and x3 the other week. I hated the stock tie down points and felt they really weren't sufficient in any way. I met a really good dude out here through a friend and he has his own welding/fabrication shop. I talked to him about my tie down idea and he definitely picked up what I was putting down and then some.

He welded some beefy D rings to the frame and then used his plasma cnc machine to custom make mounting plates that sandwhich the wood trailer bed. The end result is fantastic. I bought a Mac custom UTV wheel tie down system and my buddy Mark finished the rest. Picture time.

that's awesome

how do you like that pj trailer? i had a few quotes from them.

It has been flawless for the couple of years I have owned it. I love the rear spring assisted gate. It makes loading and unloading a breeze. I have used it to help a couple of moves as well. The factory lie down system is very adjustable and is quite solid. The trailer brake works very well. I did the initial adjustment and it has been great ever since. It is a solid trailer IMO. I would buy one again.
