i'd say they are vernacular everyday type words that are pretty universally understood in the US to be water, although, slang doesn't feel like the right term to apply to them.

Agua = Spanish for "water". Even in the context of a non-spanish speaking person using it. They are just saying water in Spanish, not a nickname for water.

H20 is water's chemical makeup. It's more a technical name then a nickname even used by a non-scientist.
