[Site Decision] Do we get rid of the Ford and GM sections?

Seems the prefix system is built into VB. Guess Ive got some plans for the afternoon.

I can make a prefix set for each forum, each section, whatever. This is actually going to be awesome once I have everything set up. You can create a test thread in any of the automotive sections to see it in action.

(The prefix will show up as an image once the thread is made).

I think if 3800 stays, then Ford and GM should stay too. I don't see our forum as cluttered even SLIGHTLY. I think having them displayed actually HELPS demonstrate that we are a multi-mfg. forum!

Just make a site rule for that section stating you need to have a [...] Referencing manufacturer, engine type, model, etc to describe what it is regarding.

I say leave them. Especially since ChiSVT was absorbed into the site.

If anything I would question why wouldn't the 3800 section be a sub section of the "GM Tech & Discussion"?

I think if anything make "3800", "Ford" and "GM" sub forums in the in Technical forum. Then have a "GM", "Ford" and "All others" as a sub forum under the "Automotive Discussions" forum.

Why not a boats section? #BRAAAP section? ATVs? I like the idea of keeping the sections down to a minimum unless it brings in a ton of traffic (see above; 3800 section)

It does not. It just tags it with the corresponding icon.

Ive also got this testing in the entertainment section. It actually looks pretty nice.

I'm on the fence for the looks in the entertainment section (was just about to mention it). It seems a little cluttered because the icons are kinda big.

They are 25x25 in most cases. You basing the clutter on a phone screen or pc?

Looks great on a computer screen. I even like how it looks on my phone.
