It's a good idea to have collission, however, if you truly arent concerned, then I have a piece of info for you.
Add Uninsured Motorist Property Damage (UMPD). Comes in blocks of amounts ususally (10K, 25K, 50K etc) and is cheap. That way, if someone hits you and is at fault either their insurance will cover the damage and in worst case scenario, your insurance will cover the property damage (your vehicle) if the person was uninsured.
Make sense?
I still carry full coverage (Liability, Medical, Collission, Comprehensive etc) on my 04 which has 145K miles on it and my premium is $750 / 6 mos (one ticket screwing me, and am rated as a business driver since I drive for client appointments etc). Without collission it would be like $350 but I would add the UMPD for like $50.
