🔧 BUILD Shawns 1971 Impala Donk

When planning my suspension, I knew I was gonna drop a bag and I was okay with that. I wanted it done right the first time and I wanted it to be as comfortable of a ride as possible. Only 2 shops I'd trust with the suspension build, Sammys in Joliet or Tim at Bet It Up. Hands down both are the best around. For my own reasons I chose to use Sammys. Brought the car to Junior at Sammys so he could take a look as thats how he operates. He gave me a shopping list and I picked up almost everything from Winners Circle in Joliet. Got all my parts then waited a couple of months to get scheduled with him Car rode like a dream being its on 6's and rubber bands

QA1 adjustable coilovers on all 4 corners
QA1 tubular control arms up front
Trick Chasis adjustable trailing arms
Custom rear anti roll bar

Recently added QA1 sway bar and links (they just came out for the donks)

Brakes I was going to do myself, but being @Carl@Redline and @daturbosix had my car I asked them to do them
I'm glad I did as I wouldnt have been able to do the rears. Advertised as a "bolt on" kit, it was anything but that lol.
They did Wilwoods 4 piston calipers and Wilwood F/R slotted/drilled rotors (rear disc conversion)
Also swapped out Master to a Wilwood and did a factory style booster

As of 3/18/23 I just scored a 15" front Wilwood kit with 6 piston calipers. Have to modify the spindles to install them. I should have that done in the next 4-6 weeks.
