We know everyone here bro and we are pretty much known on a first name basis including by the head of security. Not for a bad reason either, lol.
One of our guys has partied and snorted coke with the owner is his suite with a bunch of hoes probably 8-10yrs ago. We have never been in all out brawls per say, but we have had to put a few people in their place over the years. We have never been tossed out, but have seen others that we put in their place get tossed.

If so its like anywhere else you go. Drink prices depend on where your eating or drinking at. If your just walking down the street sightseeing and shopping, then beers are like $2. At the Jerk chicken restaurant they were like $3.35 USD. Go to some of the fancier restaurants or clubs, then your going to pay more. But nothing like Chgo fancy club or restaurant prices.
So we hit up Playa last night, ate at a phenomenal Jerk Chicken restaurant thats off the beaten path. My son and his GF have been going there for the past year when here in Mexico. We actually met the owner and his Wife and they were super cool people. Both from Canada, she is Asian and he is Jamaican. Long story short, they went to Playa 5yrs ago for vacation. Fell in love with the place. Went back to Canada, sold everything they had including their home. Moved to Playa 4yrs ago, renting a condo. When they moved there they began looking for a restaurant asap, and 3yrs ago they opened up their restaurant and havent looked back. Only open between 4p-10p Wed-Mon and she told us they do very well. Reservations highly recommended if your ever down here and want to venture out. We only hung out till about 10pm, then headed back to our resort. Drank at the resort until 2ish. We have had this same waitress pretty much all week and a certain lobby bar we been hanging at. Ive been getting a vibe that she is digging me and she speaks good English. Has a few tats that actually look pretty good. She isnt bad, short little thick bitch. So last night she tells me, you sure can drink a lot of tequila, you like it a lot? Told her its like viagra for me and makes me hard and like put up my forearm to show her what I was talking about. So she rubs my forearm and says thats strong, I said yes its makes me strong like a bull. She asked if she could see and straight up looked down at my dick basically saying she wants to see it lol. I coulda got away with it, but pussied out. The rest of the night that she brought us drinks and especially shots she was just giving me that lets fuck look. Yes she knows I'm married and talks to my wife when serving us drinks lol. I'll probably tip her like $50 tonight just because she has been very good, I always do that here if we get a solid waitress that takes care of us multiple days.
This place was all sorts of fucked up. Sold dick shaped ice cream in all different sizes and colors. If you never heard, you can get pretty much anything at pharmacies in Mexico. They are even advertising steroids now which I’ve never seen in the past.
One thing with tipping, we were told that all the workers at the resort were padded down before they went to their condos/left. Anything over a certain amount the resort kept as they thought it was stolen.
We were told to get an envelope from front desk, put the person's name we wanted to tip a bunch of money on the envelope and drop it with a manager at front desk.
We've done that 2x now with the same guy that takes care of us that works on the Go Team
In the 15yrs or so coming out here we have never heard that they are padded down. The wait staff/bartenders all split tips at every resort we have ever been to. But yes if you want to tip an individual person, you put in a card or in an envelope and had it to them.
If it weren’t for the risk you’d take coming back I’d have you do some shopping at that apothecary for me.
Not really a risk, I've brought all kinds of shit back in the past. People here with us now are bringing shit back. If you get caught at Customs on the US side they will just confiscate it.
You would be very hard pressed to find real Cubans here. They sell "Cubans" but they are just average to above average cigars that they slap a Cuban/Cohiba sticker on them. Better off buying the fresh/hand rolled quality cigars where you pick the tobacco you want and the guy rolls them right in front of you. Someone like

I have, it was a good time overall, the lazy river, some cliff diving, snorkeling, jump into some cenotes, zip lines, all you can eat and drink !
So last night was awesome. Hit the same bar with same waitress watched the Jersey Boy show and then the live band. Ricardo who is head of security came by to chop it up with us. BS'd with him for a good 30 minutes or so and as he was sitting with us our waitress was very attentive to us. He asked how has she been. We told him, she is bad ass and one of the best waitresses they have. He said she had only been there 2 months and has rcvd a ton of compliments from other guests. She lives 2.5hrs away and they are trying to get her to move closer as they dont want to lose her.
So we were BSing with her later in the night after the place slowed down. She is a single mother of 3 kids, 16yr, 15yr old boys and a 8yr old girl. All have the same father and he got some other chick prego and left them years ago. Told us the same thing as Ricardo told us, she lives 2.5hrs away and only goes home on her 1 day off a week. The other 6 days she sleeps at the resort. We have seen their living head quarters in the past as we have partied with them on their side across the street. They have a bar and restaurant and are allowed XXX amount of free drinks after work. But they put like 6-8 people to each room. Its just a big room with 6-8 beds and 2 bathrooms. She tells us she has been working 7 days a week the past couple of weeks and wont go home till Friday, thats her Daughters 9th B Day. So she is trying to earn extra money to throw her a party and buy her a new bike. She makes $6 a day and relies on the tip split to make ends meet. Pays $140 a month for rent at her home 2.5hrs away.
I asked her how much money does she need to have this party and buy this bike. She was hesitant to say anything as she knew where I was going with this. She just kept saying no no no no, its okay, you guys have been very generous. But I said you have to split these tips. Ricardo was still around the lobby, so I went and told him I want to personally give her money for her. I then asked him, how much to throw a party and buy a bike. He said $100 would be more than enough. Went back to our area where we still had 8-10 of us drinking. Told them I'm giving her $100, anyone else want to chip in. We wound up giving her $250 and had Ricardo over there to make sure it stayed with her. This chick basically fell to her knees balling and doing the father, son, holy spirit thing, then of course my Wife, my Brother Wife, and 2 other chicks with us all started crying.
BTW: We also got fucking hammered, got back to my room about 2am. 2 of our guys were still up when I went for breakfast at 10am.
I already know they left the resort and either hit up a whore house or found some pussy in Playa.

It varies by job, tipped employees make less. Same shit by us in a sense.
When my Wife is serving, she makes like $4.50hr, when she started like 20yrs ago it was like $2.15hr.
When we did a trip to Jamaica (Bloody Bay) we had heard about some breweries that were off the reservation, and asked the resort bar tender (main lobby) how to get there for some samples and a tour. He strongly recommended that as pasty white americans we don't venture to that part of the island. It's not like something would happen to us, as tourism is such a huge part of the country's revenue and they wouldn't risk that drying up, but was still suggested we don't. The tender said he had family in the area of the breweries and would have them get us some, just come back to the bar the next day. Asked him how much to cover everything, and he said $20. We all pitched in and gave him about $200 for his effort, his family's effort, and for the beer. His eyes damn near exploded.
Next day we come to see him and he walks us behind the bar. Two HUGE coolers filled with all kinds of local beers. He tried to give us back $100 saying we gave him too much. We wouldn't have it, keep the extra and spread it around to whomever you see should get some. The service they provided during our stay was outstanding.
He put our beers in a separate refrigerator and gave us a second wristband of a different color. Then put that same wristband on the fridge. Told us just come and get what we want, when we wanted it, just show the wristband so they knew it was ours.
Their appreciation of our generosity was overwhelming. We were there for a week, so made sure housekeeping got a nice chunk too. I was in my own room and gave my person a $50 (this was 2012). When I came back I had two really nice hotel towels, plush robes, and slippers sitting on my suitcase. Went to give her more $$$ and she refused.
She was making up the room as I departed for the lobby to catch the bus back to the airport. I shoved another $40 under the door as I scurried away

Currently confined to my room. Pouring out and has been for about a hour. Supposed to rain most of the day. Doesn’t bother me as I like to take it easy on the last day. Trip home is always a long fucking day and sucks if your hungover.
