If someone would get Rockers could you at the same time change the valve springs and retainers at the same time? basicly all of the things where the rockers go? I was watching Horsepower tv for a breif second when they showed about rocker arms and changing the valve springs and going lighter or something like that. Is this possible?
Cool, then the comp cam retainers, and valve springs will work right? with the aluminum rockers? and where can you get valve guide seals?
any more ideas?
It should be able to be done. You have to put a fitting in ther spark plug hole for compressed air to hold the valves up. I doubt on the back head you could fit a valve spring remover tool, but I used to just use a deep well socket to push down on the retainer to pull out the locks. I'm pretty sure that is possible on our cars, since valve spring pressure isn't all that much. If you go that route, change the valve guide seals too. They're cheap and easy to change.
