I've never pulled just a trans, only them together but it was surprisingly effortless. For real.


Come to think of it I haven't pulled a trans either. Just engines iiirc.

I think the second time (fourth engine??) bikrboy128 bikrboy128 's ex gp grenaded my buddy and I had it out in under an hour. Shit was mayhem.

make sure you grab a converter snout bushing.

ive been pretty sure for a long time that its the IS axial play that leads to the IS/turbine sprag/flexplate failures as the chain load/off axis tq is applied to the engine crank through all those components.

you will likely find your converter bushing well worn especially if the teflon seals in the IS are extruded where the channel plate sleeve beats em to death as the IS rotates farther and farther from true crank/converter axial centerline

i spent some serious $ balance testing 14 flywheels ive collected over the years at Balancestar while balancing the TR/442's mezieres

i can show you the size and where to drill the holes for changin the 20oz/in balance to the sc 21oz/in and how to debur it and shim the starter.
