im interested....always debated on one of these...


if I use this to seal cooked food in the fridge (not freezer) how many extra days will i get out of it?

I've never sealed cooked foods but we have thought about possibly doing that for camping trips. It has to help... This is essentially what happens with those reheat meals you buy at the store.

You wont get any more days of storage technically. Oxygen will affect the taste, but it the time above 40 degrees that you need to worry about. After a total of 4 hours bacteria levels can get sketchy. You also got to realize all the time is has been above that temp before it even gets to the store. Mainly talking about meat here, but my wifes Sysco training has opened my eyes to some shit.
