What do you think of that pulling vs a ford 6.7?Diesels are nice when you need them.
I’ve been nothing short of impressed with my RAM 3500.

Seen the promoted ad on FB for a while, I was curious about it.So my new to me truck has these on them, anybody here have any experience with this kinda helper spring to be able to say if they're worth a shit? What I found online was road active suspension?

Guess I'll have to see that I think of them. Truck seems stiff in the ass but it's not as bad as some and I'm sure it has 210k on the original shocks so some things need addressed and I'll have to load it down to really see what I think of them. But I like that they pull back on the top of the axle so the pinion doesn't roll forward under hard acceleration and there may be more at play with them than just sticking a trailer on it.Seen the promoted ad on FB for a while, I was curious about it.
Vs the 6.7’s I’ve owned it’s not comparable IMO, but that’s 100% down to the Aisin trans.
Compare it to a 2020+ with the 10 speed is probably more like it, but I have no experience with those as of yet.
My brother-in-law installed this on his F-150. I told him to get airbags, so naturally he did the opposite and bought this instead. He says he likes it, but the ass end of the truck sits up higher than stock unloaded. He said he set it up based on the instructions, so .So my new to me truck has these on them, anybody here have any experience with this kinda helper spring to be able to say if they're worth a shit? Definitely think there's some of that going on back there and I'm not entirely sure the blocks between the axle and springs are OEM. It doesn't really bother the truck as they did a 3 inch spacer level on the front of it so apperancewise it's fine. But I don't think they dropped the diff and I know they didn't change the upper control arms so the ball joints are on maxed out angles and screaming for mercy. My brother-in-law installed this on his F-150. 6.7 HO & 10-speed is an absolute batshit combo.
Oh I’m sure. L5P/10-speed is pretty good too. The 11-19 6.7’s are so dated now lmao.
Yeah man wd hitch setups are clutch. Especially with suvs with a relatively short wheelbase(in comparison to a 2500 Suburban or 1 ton truck). Even when you aren't sagging(your truck probably has airbags). Go weigh your truck empty at a Cat scale, then weigh it with your trailer and get your tongue weight dialed in right. Its just way more comfortable on long interstate drives. So now that I'm back home, I'll add to this.
1st off, my Wagoneer is the most comfortable car I have ever owned, and I realized this after my 2000+ mile roundtrip.
Never once was I uncomfortable in the least bit. It also towed like a fucking champ. Cruise set between 70-72mph both ways and I averaged 12.3mpg.
My Wife was leery about the trip home and even she said she was never uncomfortable and her sitting in the passenger seat could believe how smooth it was with the trailer.
If I make this trip again next year and trailer my car, I will 100% invest in a WD hitch as suggested by Yaj Yak and others. The way down had some swaying but not horrible. Coming home, I moved my hitch out 1" to see if it helped any with tongue weight. It didnt and I should have pushed it back in. I cant believe how much that 1" adjustment affected swaying. That MFer was swaying bad when I left Florida yesterday. 30-40 miles in, I pulled over at a rest stop, disconnected the trailer and moved my hitch back in. It helped a ton, but I still had some "oh shit" moments coming home with swaying. Not sure why it was worse coming home, wind maybe although it didnt feel windy.
Notice I said if I do it again next year. Car haulers take these cars there and back for $1250. For what I spent in gas, I'm assuming about $700-$800 RT, paying for shit fast food (ive eaten more fast food the last few days that I do in 6 months), and MY TIME, makes me want to put it on a hauler. I just feel my time is more valuable if that makes sense. Pretty much 40hrs spent driving there and back. Wasnt a bad drive at all, but again I just feel my time is more valuable. However I dont trust those car haulers as they are known to damage shit and 1 car from Atlanta fell off the back of a 9 car hauler on the way down. I'll find the vid and post it. I have a friend who just bought a 9 car hauler, if he does the hauling next year, I'll let him do it. He is a car dude and would take care of my shit.
@IceCreamAssassin thanks for the suggestion on those chains. I bought the below kit which also has the axle straps integrated into the actual tie down.
Those and the chains made it sooooo much easier and the quality is top notch.

Yes but it’s not like adjusting a shock. I wouldn’t want to do it everydayThanks guys. I found a Colorado guy on FB who has been running them, he said you can adjust the firmness or something.
I'm keeping an eye out for a deal or nice used one.
Seems like a long ass eye bolt that goes through the main spring on them you could tighten down to increase tension. My only thing with a Colorado is seeing as how they bend springs with even good bags and helpers on them are these going to be able to counteract those forces better?
Definitely start with an add a leaf on that thing before you do literally anything serious with it.
