id be more confident having something like that than something someone cobbled together & flipped though, at least you know what you're getting.

There's so much you can do when you gut a house, new plumbing, electrical, networking, hvac, insulation, etc....
Almost the easiest option sometimes as well.
Just because it's new doesn't mean it was built rightTrue. Old houses scare me too...I'd want to basically rip down all the drywall, new electric and plumbing, reinforce and replace anything that looks even remotely sketchy. I think I'd probably spend an extra $100K that I didn't have

No. They built the pole barn, put bigger shed next to house, moved small shed to rear pasture, and did a lot of little updates
