I figured I have been here long enough now and snapped enough random shots that it could justify a thread. Place is quite interesting, I don’t have a lot to compare it to but the overall diversity of people from all over Europe is unlike any place I have been before. That being said, here’s a bunch of random stuff I have seen with a little bit of commentary.
Connected through BEG and took a prop plane to TGD.
River running through Podgorica. Nice capital city, of the 600K people in the country about 30% of the population lives here. The rest are outside and come here for doing business.
Like pretty much everywhere I have seen in Europe, Chrysler product has a small foothold. You don’t see a lot of this kind of thing but far more than any other American brands.
Gambling and casinos are a big thing here. It’s not exclusive to Montenegro as it’s similar in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia but very prevalent. Must be a tax thing.
Russian influence here is pretty big. Price of fuel is about $8/ gallon for premium.
I spent the first couple weeks at the Hilton. Very frequently I’d see government officials and military there along with the media. This was them getting set up for a visit by the president.
Wine is good and cheap. The guy at the hotel restaurant was always trying to send me back to the room with a fresh bottle. Price in the local grocery store was about $4 a bottle and I’d put it on par with a $12 bottle of wine you’d get in the US.
Guys inside, probably no children will go over and fall in.
A lot of biodiversity here.
