You gottta make a trip out of it.

I'm tempted to buy a car purposely far and drive it back for a road trip. My wife says we should. Maybe the next one.


I agree and do it often. But now that is fall and that car is 2200 miles away. I have no motivation LOL. Last one I picked up was in Syracuse. Was a fun little trip.

For some reason BMW decided when designing the E39 to give the car a center bore of 74.1mm, a change from the usual 72.56mm. This limits the selection of OEM wheels an E39 owner can use. :s00ls:

bmw nerd in me wants to know how they got an F10 wagon in the US, if that pic was actually taken in the US

If you get an e39...try to get the arctic silver.

It's just easier to find secondhand parts for (like the m-tech body parts).

I had the steel gray...and everytime an M5 bumper popped up it was arctic silver. If you have to buy and paint the front bumper it'll run you north of $700, but I see them pop up on CL from time to time for $200 or so.
